Broadcast work

Broadcast and production work

Over the past decade, APMG has provided field production assigments and LIVE television work for Australia's leading broadcasters and production houses.  From news, current affairs, features and program production, APMG founder Andrew Parsons brings nearly four decades' media and television exepriecne to a diverse range of broadcast assignments.  This includes field producer, camera operator and 'fixer' for work done in regional areas with metropolitan newsrooms, production houses, and broadcasters across a diverse range of assignments.

Video News Release in action

While filming in East Africa (Tanzania and Uganda) in 2024, APMG founder Andrew Parsons noticed a large number of Australian toursist, many from regional areas.  On his return to Australia, Andrew produced a media release using tour operatior, Bobby-Jo Safaris, East African local tourism suppliers, and tour guests as talent to produce a news story.  Combined with the vision captured over five weeks in East Africa, APMG issued a media release on 9 October 2024 highlighting the large number of Australians on tour in Tanzania and Uganda.

Example of a Video News Release

This is an example of the type of production APMG provides to support media packages. These include, video news release (VNR), media releases, and media strategies for clients.  This in an example of a VNR that accompanied a media release issued on 9 October 2024 to highlight Australian tourism in East Africa, and the ongoing growth and success of locally-based tourism operator, Bobby-Jo Safaris (https://bobbyjosafaris.com/)

Media management in action

APMG provides end-to-end media management, including public affairs and production requirements for a wide range of media projects.  In 2024, APMG provided pro bono support -- as part of a commitement to supporting 'women in buisness' -- to professional zookepper turned children's author, Lucy Melo.  The work provided by APMG supported the launch of Lucy's book, A Good Heart. Lucy penned the children's book which  follows the story of Asian elephants Tukta and her little brother Jai Dee.  APMG produced the media release, managed the media contacts and media content distribution, and provided support to Lucy ahead of the book launch event at Taronga Zoo, Sydney.

LIVE television crosses from the field

While working in a previous role, the experience and media contacts APMG founder Andrew Parsons brought were extensively used to support Central West NSW's media and public information response to COVID-19.  One key area was rebuilding confidence in toursim through media exposure.  Andrew -- in his then professional capacity -- produced (including talent-wrangling, technical operations, and field production) over 50 LIVE crosses to metropolitan media during 2021.  This is an example of the LIVE field production services that APMG supports across regional NSW and further afield via Sydney Teleport Services (STS).
