Capital city newsrooms and programs can’t easily send crews to regional areas, it’s logistically difficult, and can be cost prohibitive. With nearly four decades’ broadcast news gathering and media experience, APMG has been a ‘go to’ resource based in regional NSW for national news and current affairs programs since 2019 - including LIVE TV production.
As regional newsrooms shrink and media resources become scarce, APMG has supported news gathering after hours and over weekends where and when needed. This includes sourcing news, gathering content, preparing media materials in the field, and getting stories back into newsrooms and programs in major cities, even overseas. APMG seamlessly provides the role of producer, shooter and ‘talent wrangler’, with Andrew Parsons establishing a reputation with metro news programs as a trusted and highly experienced ‘on-ground’ solution for high-end content creation and fast turnaround.
APMG operates from Dubbo covering most areas of western NSW, and other regions (nationally and internationally) as required. Get in touch if you need a crew and trusted content creation specialist.
A Current Affair tasked APMG to meet a very special Australian Army convoy at the end of its jounrey from Sydney to Dubbo. The special mission enabled the amazing legacy of the late Aunty Rhonda to continue bringing Christmas cheer to people doing it a tough in the West and Far West of NSW, all coordinated by good friend, Reverend Bill Crews.
When Channel Nine's A Current Affair needed a crew on the ground after buinsess hours in Central West NSW, APMG picked up the assignement filming the parents of these tradies-turned-skincare product entrepreneurs. The main talent (the boys) were being filmed in Queensland, while Mum and Dad were at home in regional NSW.
